I am Yvette, the proud owner of Curls-n-Polished and an Aveda graduate with over 17 years of experience in the beauty industry.  I am deeply passionate about continuing education and consistently seek advanced training to stay current with the latest techniques and innovations in curly hair care. I hold certifications in Russian Manicure, Forever Curls, Rëzo Cut, Cadō Cut, and Mizani Air Cut.  I began my personal curly hair journey in 2020, which strengthened my commitment to serving the curly community.  In November 2021, I traveled to New York City to earn my Mizani Air Cut certification, and in April 2025, I returned to complete my Cadō Cut curly certifications.  I love educating my clients and empowering them with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain healthy, vibrant, and lively curls. When it comes to nails, I love bringing creativity to life through freehand nail art, detailed designs, and custom looks using rhinestones for special requests.  If you’re a fan of Marvel, Disney, or Harry Potter, I’m definitely your girl.  I also enjoy connecting with my clients through conversation – especially about TV shows – and yes, spoilers and plot twists are always welcome, even if I haven’t watched it yet. 
 ***Due to limited space, no additional guests are permitted while clients are receiving services. Clients under the age of 18 who require a guardian may be accompanied by one parent or legal guardian during the appointment.*** 
 CURLY CLIENTS ONLY // HAIR PREPARATION FOR YOUR SALON VISIT
 Please arrive at the salon with your curls freshly cleansed, fully detangled while wet, and completely dry.  Hair must be worn in its natural state, free of all products. If needed, gently diffuse using heat to ensure hair is fully dry. Please note that damp hair is not considered dry. To preserve the natural curl pattern, please refrain from pulling your hair back prior to your appointment.  Avoid the use of ponytail holders, bobby pins, clips, braids, scarves, sunglasses, or any accessories that may alter the curl formation.  Hair should be worn loose and untouched. Failure to comply with the above preparation requirements will result in a $75 drying fee, which will be added to your service.  If you choose not to pay the drying fee, the appointment will be cancelled and the full cancellation fee will apply.
